One of my favorite days of the year is the day they bring out all of the Easter treats at the supermarket. So many wonderful confections in so many beautiful pastel colors. It’s like a magical candy rainbow. And what Easter basket would be complete without the household favorite many, many, MANY years running? You guessed it! PEEPS®!!! Remember when Peeps® only came in one color? Well, those yellow chicks are lonely no more! We have green, we have blue, we have purple (my personal favorite). We even have a Peeps® rainbow pop, featuring four (yes, FOUR!!) perfectly pastel Peeps®.
But wait!! Peeps® has come out with a super fun (and brilliant, if I do say so myself) way to help keep kids in line as they wait for the arrival of that beloved bunny: Peeps® in a Basket. This little plush Peep® will keep watch to ensure your little angels behave in the days and weeks leading up to Easter morning when they find out what delights await (well, Peeps®, of course!!). Now, since my kiddos have had had a sneak peep….I mean, peek of what to expect in their Easter baskets, our little yellow friend (appropriately named “Chickie”….for some reason my kids lack creativity when it comes to naming their plush toys) has had a pretty easy time of it. She has pretty much just been hanging around and helping us count down to the big day. My kids are loving all of the funny places she pops up (“what is Chickie doing on top of the TV???”) and having some good pre-Easter laughs at her silly antics (“how did Chickie get into Madison’s crib while she was sleeping??”).
“The flowers were budding, the grass emerged from snow, and winter was finally coming to a close.
All of the kids played outside once more, while thoughts of spring-time chores went right out the door.
Meanwhile, back in Bethlehem, PA, the Easter Bunny was becoming busier by the day.
But today was one of the most important of them all, as the PEEPS® gathered ‘round, some stout and some tall.
They met to discuss their mission this year, a big responsibility which was sure to bring cheer.
The messenger PEEPS® assured they were ready to go, and off they travelled to various homes.
The PEEPS® were ready to watch over kids everywhere and report back whether each child had earned their Easter basket share.
And for all the young boys and girls who do behave, their PEEPS® will ensure their baskets are filled with the marshmallow treats they crave.”
Along with the addition of Peeps® in a Basket, the Peeps® brand continues to grow their already magnificent lineup with some amazing additions. Be sure to check out the shelves of your grocery store for Party Cake Flavored Peeps® (complete with rainbow confetti sprinkles!!), Dark Chocolate Dipped Peeps®, Marshmallow Bunny shaped Peeps®, and even a ginormous Milk Chocolate Egg filled with a Peeps® Marshmallow Chick. BRILLIANT!! So this Easter make sure you stock up on all of the delectable treats Peeps® has to offer…..and make sure you order your plush Peeps® and start a new Easter tradition for your family next year. We are having a blast with Chickie and you will too….although hopefully your kids will come up with a much better name!

April 12, 2014 at 11:11 amHow cute are those stuffed Peeps? I love them! I am a huge fan of Peeps, however, no one in my family cares for marshmallow that much, I know, weird, right? Anyway, more Peeps for me 🙂

April 11, 2014 at 11:25 pmThose are seriously the cutest things I have ever seen! I love the countdown! Sometimes it is so hard to explain how long there is and this would be a great way for kiddos to keep track
