September has officially arrived and for my family that means back-to-school, volunteering, field trips, color tours, apple season (which is kind of a big deal when you live on an apple farm), and the beginning of our family birthdays/holiday stretch.
Basically, I don’t have time for meal planning but without meal planning my family would be eating breakfast for dinner every night of the week. While the kids don’t mind my husband prefers a bit more variety, and the alternative of eating out quickly becomes expensive for a family of 4.
The past few weeks have made me very thankful to No More To Go for taking care of the more time consuming aspects of meal planning for me!
No More To Go is basically a subscription service where they make up a new meal plan each week. Each Friday you’ll receive an email with the 5 recipe meal plan for the upcoming week, which means you have your grocery shopping list in plenty of time to do your weekend shopping.
Even more awesome? They have a grocery list that you can download for the week’s planned meals that contains a detailed breakdown of the items you’ll need for the week with a notation for what recipe each ingredient is for. This is great because if there’s a meal you know you won’t be making you don’t accidentally buy all the ingredients!
Picky eaters? Vegetarian? Have a gluten-free diet? No worries! Each recipe includes a KIDS NOTE, a VEGETARIAN TIP, and GLUTEN MODIFICATIONS (if needed). There is also the NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION including serving size, calories, fat, fiber, protein, and carbs.
You also get detailed instructions on making the meal, a time estimate for creating the meal, and how many the recipe will serve. Each recipe also has a printer friendly version so you can print your favorites to keep on hand!
This along with access to the previous 4 weeks of menus, a weekly giveaway, and their blog with cooking tips! Basically, my meal planning has become easy-peasy and my valuable time is spent on things that I actually enjoy!

September 15, 2013 at 2:56 pmI like the printable grocery list with minimal pantry staples. Some menu plans have such a long list of pantry staples (that aren’t really staples in my kitchen!) that it makes it difficult to shop. This one looks simple and easy to use!

I know if it were up to me, I would wander the grocery store aisles aimlesley and buy junk because I KNOW how to cook it. This would be something new, something challenging, and something healthy!
