planning a magical vacation part 2 :: walt disney world resources

WDW ResourcesLast week I was excited to share some of my favorite Disney Tips with you (visit that post HERE). This week I am going to have fun sharing my favorite resources from planning our Disney World vacation. In no particular order I give you…

important things like ghirardelli ice cream1) My Disney Experience – Walt Disney World App :: This app is amazing! It allows you to create and manage dining reservations, look at current wait times, reserve FastPass selections, and so much more! The app was more user-friendly from my iPad, however I made plenty of use of the app while actually in the parks on a daily basis right from my iPhone. Plus the app is FREE!!! Don’t feel left out Android users, there is also a version for you but you’ll have to make sure all these same functions exist for yourself.

2) Disney Parks Moms Panel :: So Disney is SUPER smart and they assembled a panel of moms (and dads) who are extremely knowledgable in all things Disney Parks related. With answers on everything from meal plans, to what hotel they’d recommend, how specific events are run, or what is or isn’t allowed within the parks, this is the go-to place to get your questions answered about your upcoming Disney vacation. If you can’t find your question already addressed in their archives just ask away and one of the super knowledgable panelists will get back with you!

This blog was my go-to place to see what restaurants were best for my family. I also purchased the Disney Food Blog Guide to Walt Disney World Dining ebook and all the tips I picked up while reading were well worth the purchase price.

4) Garden Grocer :: If you’re driving to Disney this may be less of an issue for you, but with our family flying I found that there were many items I wanted access to while at our resort but didn’t want to either 1) pack or find them here at home, 2) pay resort prices, or 3) rent a car/pay for a taxi just to go shopping. For my family some of these items included fresh fruit, bottles of water and juice, snacks, as well as some of our toiletries. With the Garden Grocer grocery delivery service I had an order of items delivered directly to our resort for a nominal fee. For full details I suggest checking out their site as well as their FAQs, but I found that this was a great convenience to my family and I will easily use their services again.

If you’re planning a Disney World vacation right now I hope these resources help make your travels all that more magical abd if you’ve already been to Disney World before what resources or tips do you have that made it easier for your family?
