Earlier yesterday I popped in Pleased To Meet You, the new album from Key Wilde & Mr Clarke, for my girls to listen to while we did some clean up. About 30 seconds into my doing dishes I did a quick check up on them to find much giggling and an impromptu dance party going on.
Me :: “Girls, can you pick up your toys please?”
Miss M :: “NO! We’re to busy DANCING!”
This little conversation pretty much sums up how my girls and I feel about this rocking fun album.
From the first few notes of the title track, “Pleased To Meet You,” to the end of “Falling Star” my girls were entranced. Toe tapping, sister swinging, and crazy spinning were to be expected and although my heart nearly stopped a couple of times from close calls with the furniture they ran off enough energy to sit through dinner (amazing after all the crazy energy they’ve had lately)!
I couldn’t help but laugh at the silly lyrics in “Raised By Trolls” and we all enjoyed the whimsical sounds of a toy piano tinging along to ukulele lullaby “Falling Star.” To give you a taste of the fun enjoy the below video for “Animal Alphabet” ::
Key Wilde & Mr Clark have provided a fun album with quite the variety in musical influences. Fun, upbeat, and a perfect listen for spending time outdoors on a sunny summer day!
