On March 6th, Shout! Factory Kids in collaboration with Hasbro Inc. releases Pound Puppies: Homeward Pound on DVD! This release includes 5 fun-filled episodes featuring the pro-active pooches of Shelter 17, and the brand new “Learn to Draw Lucky” bonus vignette. These pups won’t leave adoption in the hands of the humans!

Adalynn and I sat down the other afternoon and watched it together – beginning to end and only walked away a couple times for a snack break. She just LOVED all the dogs. There were two points when she specifically said something about the dogs.  The first one that caught her attention was the one that looked like our dog, Abbie.  She is a boxer.  And there is a boxer in the shows.  The second thing I continually remember hearing from here was when the little puppies were on the screen.  A constant, “Awww!”

Do you remember these little guys from back in the day when we were kids? Watching this with my kiddos made me think back to the sweet little Pound Puppy stuffed animals I collected – and boy did I have a collection! When I found out there was a Pound Puppies television show, I was all ears in my attempt to get nostalgic with my past 🙂

The Pound Puppies are a team of fearless dogs whose sworn mission is to find homes for lonely puppies. Even though they look like regular dogs, these pro-active pooches match up pups with loving families fulfilling the mantra of a pup for every person and a person for every pup—all while they keep the humans at Shelter 17 clueless. Sometimes dogs are dogs’ best friend!
