Nearly 16 years later and I still adore my engagement ring and wedding ring as much as the day(s) they were slipped on my finger. I don’t really like to take it off.
But I do.
I actually don’t wear my rings as much as I would like to. But for good reason. And you may find yourself in the same situations.
See, I’ve had too many close calls with my wedding ring slipping off my finger or getting caught on something, so there are just certain situations where I feel much better knowing it is tucked safely inside my jewelry box.
For example, gardening. Or exercising. Or working outside in the winter months.
I’ve noticed that the size of my fingers can really fluxuate throughout the month or year. Sometimes I’m retaining a little extra water (or weight) and my wedding ring will fit very snug on my finger. No worries of it falling off at those times. Then there are times where my fingers shrink down a bit (especially when my hands are cold) and that ring is crazy loose. So loose that it just might fall off. And I’d be devastated.
Then there are times where I’m working with my hands – creating some DIY project or wrangling one of our animals. Not only am I worried about my ring falling off, but I’m even more worried about my finger getting jammed and needing to have the ring cut off. I cringe just thinking about that. I’ve heard too many stories from people around me about their finger swelling from some sort of injury and needing to cut off their ring. Yikes!
So for years I just didn’t wear my wedding ring during those times. And I hated it! Then my husband came home one day and started talking about these Qalo rings.
He has the same issues with his wedding ring as I do. Although, I will say he’s probably more likely to injure his finger than I am between the heavy-duty chores and projects I persuade him to do around our house and his time as a part-time police officer. It was actually one of his fellow officers that told him about Qalo rings. Many of the men and women in the department wear them.
The Qalo ring is a ring made of silicone that works perfectly as your “stand-in” wedding ring for those times where you don’t feel safe or comfortable wearing your ring. Be it exercising, weight lifting, outdoor adventures, on the job, etc.
The silicone make up of the Qalo ring allows it to be flexible and durable. No worries about losing it as you’re working out or digging in the garden. No worries about scratching it or losing a diamond as you work on your favorite DIY project. And no worries about needing to have it removed if you injure that finger.
And with the various designs and colors for both men and women, the Qalo rings are becoming wildly popular! The Qalo line-up includes a variety of colors (solids, gold, sparkles), designs (classic, perforated, squared, and the new “step-edge”), and even specialty designs for those in the Army; serving as police, firefighters or EMS; or those who want to give-back.
And I haven’t even gotten to the best part – they are unbelievably affordable! Typically the Qalo rings cost around $24.95, but, as a Valentine’s special, they are currently 20% off (ends Feb. 8, 2017).
What I also love is Qalo’s “above & beyond” customer service! When I ordered my husband a Qalo ring for Christmas this year, I ended up ordering a size too small. I was trying to keep it a surprise so it was hard for me to get an accurate size. When he opened his ring on Christmas and realized it was too small, Qalo’s customer service team helped me exchange the ring for the right size (even though it was my fault) and he had the new ring in just a matter of a few days!
If you or your spouse love the outdoors, exercising, or work at a job where you’re constantly using your hands, the Qalo ring might just be perfect for you. Actually, I can’t think of many people who wouldn’t benefit from having the Qalo ring!
This Valentine’s Day, give the gift of jewelry he/she will really love! Plus, how cute are these DIY Qalo Valentine’s?!?!
Don’t forget – 20% off at Qalo.com ends February 8 and take advantage of their FREE SHIPPING on orders of $40 or more!

February 7, 2017 at 5:15 amThe Qalo ring is such a great idea and very unique. I do not like to wear my wedding ring to work because I have banged it too much.

February 7, 2017 at 9:56 amAgreed! I can’t even count how many times I’ve snagged my ring or hit it on something. I know diamonds are tough but I cringe at the thought of something happening to it!
