refresh your wardrobe {on a major budget} :: mother’s day gift guide

I’m going to share with you a little secret today.  I’m talking about a way to refresh your wardrobe on a MAJOR budget.  No, it doesn’t involve shopping sales, taking surveys or turning in store rewards.  It’s clothing rental.  RENTAL, y’all.  I’m going to show you how it works and tell you a few reasons I love it.

LeTote is a clothing rental subscription service.  You pay a monthly fee and borrow clothes and accessories.  Keep them as long as you want.  Send them back (in the provided postage-paid envelope) when you’re done and they send you a new tote of fashion.  You can decide how many pieces you’d like at a time (I went with 3 clothing items and 2 accessories) and you determine what you get.  The stylists at LeTote will put together a box for you but you can change any or all of the items before it gets sent to you.  So you can determine what you want based on your social calendar (date night on a sunny day = spring floral dress, coffee day in the rain = cozy tunic), etc.  And, because I know you’re wondering, yes they launder it all for you!

Okay, ladies.  Here are some reasons why I am LOVING LeTote right now.

Variety.  I am a t-shirt and jeans kind of girl.  With a little athleisure mixed in.  I also stay home with my three kiddos.  So when I buy something, it’s typically something very versatile that I know I’ll wear over and over again.  But, ladies, that gets BORING!  So I love adding to my wardrobe without actually adding to it, you know?  I don’t need to keep clearing out closet space because I’m constantly getting new clothes without needing to buy them.  I can keep my typical style but add to it with the lace overlay bomber jacket and necklace from my current tote (shown above).

Try before you buy.  You know how you see all these other moms wear the cutest trends but you’re not so sure if you can pull it off?  LeTote is a perfect way to try out the trends!  I ordered this long, chevron vest (shown above)that I wasn’t 100% sure about but I figured I had nothing to lose!  And I ended up really liking it!  It’s not like anything else I own and I had fun wearing something outside of my typical style. And the extra fun, bright blue necklace was part of this tote as well.

No need to leave the house.  I know some moms love to go shopping, but when I get a free moment to myself, it’s hard for me to muster up the energy to head to the mall.  The looking, the trying on, the sticker shock.  All of it overwhelms me.  I love that I can just click a few buttons and get excited for my tote to be on its way.  I loved wearing this “new” tunic to church without shopping (and I plan on wearing it again before sending it back).

I can’t wait to show you other styles I end up with during my LeTote subscription.  Since you have the option to purchase anything in your tote at a hefty discount (that chevron vest is only $19 to buy!), if I find a new can’t-live-without item, I can buy it!
