relax & unwind with new barefoot refresh wine :: review

One of my favorite small pleasures is a glass of perfectly chilled wine on a hot summer day. Heaven knows that moms need a mini-vacation from time to time, and a refreshing glass of wine after a long day often fits the bill. Barefoot Wine has taken relaxation and refreshment to a whole new and delicious level. Meet new Barefoot Refresh: a fabulous and affordable wine that is best enjoyed over ice. Voila! Summer at its finest.

Barefoot Refresh is available in four fantastic varieties: Crisp White, Sweet White, Perfectly Pink, and Summer Red. Even their names sound divine! I had the pleasure of tasting their Crisp White and Perfectly Pink varieties and can’t wait to try the other two offerings over the remaining summer months. The Crisp White is light and tangy, with “aromas of pear and melon and a lemon-lime finish”. It is a blend of Chenin Blanc and Riesling, and is perfect for wine lovers who enjoy their wine a bit on the drier side. I am a big fan of sweet wine in any form, and thus, the Perfectly Pink was my favorite of the two. It is a White Grenache blended with Chenin Blanc and Moscato. It is delightfully sweet and fruity, with “aromas of mandarin orange and peach, complemented by flavors of raspberry and cherry.”

These yummy treats are reasonably priced at around $8.00 for a 750 mL bottle and available pretty much anywhere wine is sold. Pick up a bottle (or two) for your next summer get-together. You will not regret it!
