It’s really not news that I like Rockabye Baby‘s lullaby renditions.  Seriously, they are a great way to sneak your favorite music in with your kiddos from well… birth.  If you’re not familiar here’s what Rockabye Baby is all about…

Rockabye Baby transforms timeless rock songs into beautiful instrumental lullabies. Guitars and drums are traded for soothing mellotrons, vibraphones and bells, and the volume is turned down from an eleven to a two. Rockabye Baby is the perfect way to share the music you love with the littlest rocker in your life.

Their newest release Lullaby Renditions of Dave Matthews Band brings me right back to college.  I had some roommates back then who were HUGE Dave Matthews Band fans and every time I listen to DMB I think of them.  They need to start having kids so I can send them this specific album as a baby gift. {hint hint}

I have to mention that the folks at Rockabye Baby have a new album on advance order right now as well. While Lullaby Renditions of The Smiths will be available on April 24, 2012 true fans should prepare for Record Store Day 2012, April 21 (aka the indie rock Black Friday).  On that day Rockabye Baby will be releasing a vinyl version of  Lullaby Renditions of The Smiths. Limited to 3000 pieces, this version features white colored vinyl, a download card of the album, and a full color sleeve including artwork and activities exclusive to the vinyl release. This marks the first time in series history that a Rockabye release is available on LP, CD and MP3.

As I sit here writing my post listening to Lullaby Renditions of Dave Matthews Band I can’t help but have So Much to Say (oh yes I did, lol!).  my SIMPLE star rating :: 5 out of 5
