A couple weeks ago I got to enjoy a kid-free vacation. This included sitting under umbrellas by the pool, dodging mud puddles, an attempt at snorkeling, and just general exploring. It rained a lot that week and I was really glad to have my new Salomon Light Ambpib 3 W all-terrain water sandals to wear on our soggy adventures.
While the rain didn’t stop us from going out, I think it may have if I had been wearing soggy tennis shoes or slipping around in flip-flops. Thankfully the Light Amphib 3 W water sandals from Salomon look like a traditionally running or walking shoe, but function like a water sandal. The best of both worlds!
Here’s some technical details that are nice to know ::
- Upper material is a quick-drying, single-layer nylon, anti-debris, breathable mesh. Your feet dry out fast with these shoes and besides for sand or dirt, you’re not getting “extras” in between your feet and the shoe.
- The shoes have long lasting, built-in, environmentally friendly protection to stop odors. Big deal for shoes you’re wearing into and out of the water a lot.
- Molded EVA midsole provides lightweight cushioning and stability
- Traditional lacing for a secure fit, but has a drawstring stopper so you don’t have to untie wet laces.
- Non-marking Water Contagrip® outersole that is specifically formulated to maximize traction in wet, slippery and amphibious conditions.
- Tested by and for women. The fit, cushioning, and style all were created specifically for women.
- Step on the back heel to fold it down and wear them as sandals.
I knew that my love of the Light Amphib 3 W water sandals was sealed when I wore them on our aborted snorkeling excursion. We had just arrived at the beach with all our gear when it started raining, which quickly turned to down-pouring. It took me about 30 seconds to realize that even with all the rain, surf, and sand, I was still walking comfortably along. These shoes seriously rock!
Summer is fast approaching and I know these fabulous shoes will be getting plenty of use as I chase my kiddos around at the lake, out on walks, and exploring at the farm. my SIMPLE star rating :: 5 out of 5
