savoring the soft glow of salt :: review

Several months ago I went to visit a friend who’d just had a baby and she had this gorgeous lamp in her daughter’s room. It was made of a wire “bowl” filled with several orangeish-pinkish rocks and a light beneath the rocks. When I asked about it she told me that they weren’t actually rocks but pieces of Himalayan salt! She also told me all about the health benefits of salt lamps. But I have to admit that the thing that really caught my attention was the beautiful glow. When I watch TV, I like to have just a little light on but not enough to distract me.
