The past couple of years I have had a ton of fun planning, planting and harvesting a vegetable garden. I am not expert in the gardening department, but I have been having fun learning as I go along! Watching those tiny shoots push their way out of the soil in the spring and collecting the bounty of their harvest in the fall is a very fulfilling and satisfying adventure. My little 2 year old has enjoyed it probably even more than I have this year…. from digging his tiny hands into the soil, to asking me daily if the “-matoes are red yet, mommy?” to eagerly picking the first zucchini off the bush.

Food HuggersWith all the work and joy that went into gardening this year, it is not fun to see your crops go to waste. My zucchinis were ginormous this year… I’m talking behemoth! We just can’t possibly use an entire zucchini in one dinner. Thanks to Food Huggers, I am able to cut the zucchini in half and easily save the other half for another day.

Food Huggers come in a variety of sizes so that you can find the perfect size for your fruits and vegetables. By simply selecting the size that most closely fits your food, you just put it over the “exposed” end and voila! You have a perfectly covered fruit or veggie. Have you ever put fresh food in a ziplock baggie only to find it wilted or “sad” looking when you went to use it again? I know I have! With Food Huggers, you won’t have that disappointment 🙂

I know I’ve mentioned using them for fruits and vegetables, but how about cans, jars and other containers?? Once you open a can with a can opener, there is no putting the top back on. Pop a Food Huggers on top of the open can though and you will find an airtight seal that will prolong the life of whatever was in your can goods!!!

I’m a fan of Food Huggers! Pop on over to their site and order a pack for yourself to see why they are so awesome! Food huggers 2

Genius!! This is one of those “duh, why didn’t I think of that!” products. So glad that your garden did so well. I used to just love having a veggie garden. Nothing better than eating something you have raised yourself. Love that these will keep them from going to waste.
