seven makeup trends to experiment with

Each year brings new makeup trends that influence the colors and styles that people use. This year, you can expect to see some exciting new concepts as well as a few that have been around for decades. If you want to try a different look, experiment with these seven makeup trends.

Winged Eyeliner

Winged eyeliner takes the cat eyeliner style to a new level by extending the sides to sharp points. The effect gives you a mysterious look that practically forces people to look you directly in the eyes. It can also add a nice element that brings out your cheekbones.

Use traditional black eyeliner when going for the winged look. You can also try some colors, but it’s best to choose very dark options.

Glitter Eyeliner

If you want to draw a lot of attention to your eyes, choose a glitter eyeliner that emphasizes your eye color. Most people expect to see glitter during summer, but using it during the fall season, you get to defy those expectations.

It’s worth mixing your glitter eyeliner with black eyeliner. Apply your black eyeliner as you usually do, but add a little bit of glitter to the edges. The glitter effect becomes so subtle that people will keep looking at your eyes as they try to figure out whether you’ve added some sparkle or you just happen to look fabulous that day.

Smoky Eyes

Adding some eye shadow to your eyelids creates a smoky appearance that amplifies your eyelashes and hair. Don’t use too much eye shadow when you want this look. Apply a small amount to your eyelids and spread the color out. You want it to look smoky, not dark.

This is a versatile look since you can try a range of colors that match or contrast with the clothes you wear. Try pairing an orange sweater with blue eye shadow or a yellow dress with purple eye shadow. You can’t go wrong by using complementary colors.

Subtle Skin Highlights

This year, resist the urge to put too much color on your cheeks. A little can go a long way toward creating subtle skin highlights that bring out your best features.

You can get subtle skin highlights by applying a small amount of foundation that evens out your skin tone. You may also want to use a concealer to cover any blemishes. Finally, use a highlighter to apply some color to your cheeks. Using high-quality cosmetics from Amway will give you beautiful results and prevent your pores from getting clogged. After all, you want your skin to remain healthy so it will look terrific for years to come.

High-Gloss Lips

Lip gloss isn’t just for teenagers. Adding some shine to your lips will draw attention to your mouth, which is especially nice for people with full lips. Again, a small amount of lip gloss can go a long way. You want a subtle shine rather than a harsh reflection. If the gloss wears off during the day, you can always reapply it. The great thing about lip gloss is that you can carry it easily.

Berry-Stained Lips

Leave the bright red lipstick in your drawer this year. Instead, opt for colors that draw inspiration from nature. Choose lipsticks with berry shades like dark purple and more neutral tones.

Big, Beautiful Eyelashes

Don’t be afraid to extend your eyelashes as far as they will go. You can get the desired look by using dark mascara or faux lashes. Either way, you’ll create a serious (and seriously sexy) look that will attract attention.

You probably want to reserve this look for evenings out on the town and romantic dates. If you show up to work with huge eyelashes, you might look out of place. At night, though, feel free to go bold.

Makeup trends may come and go, but you can’t deny the effect they have on the way people look this year. Find your favorite style and discover how it can make you even more beautiful than you already are.
