Yesterday my middle child came up to inform me, “Mom, you have a lot of shoes.” While this may be true, my current shoe collection is no where near what it was before I had three children to chase after. You see, in the time of “Before Children” my shoes were more abundant but usually of lesser quality and comfort. As the kids arrived I learned the importance quality made shoes that pair cute with practical – because you never know when you’ll have to make a mad dash to stop toddler induced mayhem.
Late last summer my go-to favorite pair of sandals saw their last adventure and I began a search for the perfect replacements. This may seem like an easy task, but I was determined to find new sandals that would be cute, yet practical while made of quality materials and leather so that they would last for many adventures. I also was determined to find a versatile sandal in a fairly neutral color to go with a large selection of outfits and outings, especially while on vacations or trips (because the less shoes you have to pack in a suitcase the better!).
When I came across
OTBT (Off The Beaten Track) and their brand of casual women’s shoes I fell in love. Not only does OTBT have cute shoes made of high quality materials, their
March On sandal immediately stuck out to me because of the perfectly placed straps that would keep that sandal on my foot even if chasing a delinquent 2-year-old!
After going down a rabbit trail of absolutely adorable choices like the
Lasso (which I NEED in all three colors), the
Sewell in blue grey, and the
Nova in copper (to name a few) – I finally made my way back to drooling over the March On in grey silver. I loved the asymmetrical design and adjustable straps, plus that color is such a great neutral to match with just about anything I would want to wear them with.
I think I have found my new perfect summer adventure sandal and am excited for all the date nights, family adventures, and vacations I will take them on in the near future. What OTBT shoes need to find a home in your closet?
