shutterbug saturday :: the storms of life

I found these sweet baby birds in our yard the day after a major storm had swept through our area. My animal loving heart felt for these innocent babies, so of course I watched to see if the mamma bird was around. To my joy I saw her swoop in to feed her babies!

Over the next several days, I enjoyed watching them grow feathers and begin to move around… one morning, they flew away! Despite the storm they went through, they just hunkered down in the grass and made the best of their situation. Their mamma was never far away… taking care of her little ones!

I believe we can learn a lot from these sweet little birds! 🙂
