“How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in your life you will have been all of these.” ~George Washington Carver
These skates belong to a 94 year young woman who I have the pleasure to call grandma. This feisty woman has been an inspiration to many and is celebrating her 95th birthday this week. I can’t help but reflect on the life that she has lived over the past century. The changes she has seen, the places she has been, the people she has met… they all make up the woman that she is today. In her youth she loved to skate, and while she may not be able to skate any more the memories she has made she can cherish the rest of her life.
