Do any of you suffer from dry winter skin? As soon as we turn on the heat, I notice drier skin on everyone in our family. We like to lather up with lotion, but have noticed so many lotions have questionable ingredients–and sometimes those very lotions end up irritating our already dry skin. Lately we’ve been using SkinFix--a safe line of skin care that really works and is free of steroids, fragrance, soy, parabens and phthalates.
SkinFix carries skin care items for everyone in the family from infant through adult. They even carry special lines just for those with eczema and diabetes–conditions that require specialized care. I was most excited to try the hand repair cream. While all of my skin gets dry in the winter, my hands especially take a beating. My hands are always cracked and dry–even in the summer. And while some lotions tend to give some temporary relief, I’ve found that SkinFix makes my hands feel better for longer than just when I apply. I’ve been putting SkinFix on every night before bed and my hands really feel softer in the morning. I can’t wait to see what a difference this will make this winter!
Another SkinFix product we’ve been loving is the Daily Lotion. This lotion (like all SkinFix products) is fragrance-free. This is a huge bonus since most fragrance is chemical-based and most lotions contain some type of fragrance. One thing I love about this lotion is that it seems to hydrate like a cream but it isn’t oily or greasy. It rubs right in so I can hop out of the shower, put on lotion and get dressed without my clothes sticking to me. Since it is made with 98% natural ingredients, I feel safe about using it on my whole family.
The last SkinFix product I want to highlight is the Kids Eczema Balm. My littlest guy has been plagued with allergies and eczema since birth and I can’t stand the idea of using steroid creams on him every time he breaks out. The Kids Eczema Balm uses nature’s pharmacy to help alleviate the itchy rashes. Ingredients like sunflower oil, shea butter and colloidal oatmeal work together to soothe eczema patches naturally.
Check out the SkinFix products at Target and tell me what you’re most interested in trying. I think the lip repair balm is next on my wish list!
