Mother’s Day is two-fold because we are moms looking forward to a little extra attention, but we also have moms that deserve our attention. My own mom has made a huge impact on who I am today and she has been very gracious about the years that Mother’s Day came and went and I didn’t even remember to send a card. I never meant to gloss over her, I just happened to be stuck on the struggle bus raising toddlers. Her gift to me has been her being so understanding of that season of life.
Now that I’m a mom I know that the most precious gifts I get on Mother’s Day aren’t measured by monetary value. I love the sweet notes, the hand-painted mugs, and the jewelry the kids made that they can’t wait for me to wear. Actually, I don’t like the jewelry if I’m being honest, but I do like to make them happy and I wear it proudly for their sake. The mugs don’t really survive more then a few dishwasher cycles either, but a Sparrow Lettering Co. mug will!
Consider giving your own mom a hand lettered card with a heart-felt note for her to read on Mother’s Day. Jenna at Sparrow Lettering Co. is a very talented young friend of mine who makes thoughtful, inspirational, and gorgeous custom prints. Her Mother’s Day cards start at just $4 + shipping and they are precious in every way….painted and lettered by hand and can be customized. I already ordered one for my mom.
Let me pause real fast to brag on my cute little friend, Jenna. In my mind she’s still an adorable little Kindergarten student I taught, but she’s actually a junior in high school. She has an Instagram account that is inspiring in so many ways. #WALLPAPERWednesday is my favorite day of the week where she shares a new print to cheer up my phone’s wallpaper. She also shares insta-stories of her lettering, painting, good books, or what God is doing in her life. I just vicariously took a trip to India and Singapore with her. Follow @sparrowletteringco and you will be encouraged how God can use even the youngest to glorify Him.
In honor of our Mother’s Day Event, today’s giveaway is a CUSTOM 8×10 print from Sparrow Lettering Co. As you enter to win, think about what design you might like to have Jenna create if you are the lucky winner. Enter to win something for yourself and consider buying your own mom THIS beautiful card for Mother’s Day.

May 7, 2018 at 11:08 pmLove is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
