I don’t know about your children, but my son has an abundance of Nerf Guns. He had a Nerf Gun Birthday Party before COVID hit and we acquired a lot of Nerf Guns. I have been telling him for a couple of years now that I would build something for all of his Nerf Guns. Well I am happy to say that I finally built him a shelving device for all of his Nerf Guns, but I need to come up with another idea for some of the BIG guns.
As you know I am a very frugal person so I used a bookshelf that I had in our shed for gardening supplies. I have been saving these white, plastic baskets that I saved from our deep freezer saying I would do something with them. Well that’s what I did I turned them into drawers for my son’s Nerf Gun Unit.
The first thing I did was spray paint it black and reinforced areas that needed it. Then I added wood pieces for where I wanted the drawers to pull out. I ended up doubling the two baskets that were the same size to include all of his smaller Nerf Guns. Not only do the baskets serve as storage, but also as a way for him to carry them outside to play. Needless to say my son was very happy with the final product and so was I. It was great to have somewhere to put all of his Nerf Guns.
Spring Cleaning makes you feel so accomplished when you are able to do something with an area in the house that causes you pain to look at because it is so disorganized. I have several areas in my house that cause me pain to look at, but either I don’t have the time to do anything about it or I don’t know what to do with the mess.
