I had the opportunity to try Motley Clean: Classic Rock. At first glance, this laundry detergent is already a cut above the rest. All of the ingredients are biodegradable and are Vegan/Gluten friendly too! It contains NO:
- Enzymes
- Phosphates
- Optical Brighteners
- SLS
- Parabens
Upon opening this bag of pure awesomeness, you are greeted by a wonderful smell! I know what you might be thinking… typically scents are a no-no for sensitive skin (especially for babies!), but Rockin’ Green has found a way to make 100% natural scents that rinse away in the wash. According to them, “All you smell is clean, not funk!” If you are not convinced, they also offer a scent free version.
Because I cloth diaper, I was eager to try this soap on my son’s diapers. While this is not necessary with every wash, I like to soak all of his diaper for a few hours prior to washing them. I simply put a tablespoon or two in my wash tub and fill it with water. Afterwards, I throw them in my HE washing machine (yes, Rockin’ Green is great for HE machines too!) and add 1 more TBSP and wash them on hot with with an extra rinse. When done, they come out smelling… well, smelling like nothing! There is no FUNK left over on my son’s diapers. I also believe my son’s microfiber diapers are more absorbent after using this soap. (This may not be true for everyone)
Be sure to check out Rockin’ Green. It’s good for you, for your family and for your planet!
“We have made a commitment to ourselves and you to keep bringing you safe, hard working products that you can feel good about using in your own home.” ~Rockin’ Green

April 9, 2014 at 2:49 pmI use cloth diapers and have always heard about Rockin’ Green, but have never tried it! My daughter has a sensitive bum so I always worry about scents causing issues, but it sounds like this won’t irritate her skin. Love it when your diapers come out smelling like nothing. 🙂

April 11, 2014 at 1:50 pmI agree! Unfortunately a lot of green products don’t work as well as we would like… not so with Rockin’ Green!!
