Last year for the holidays I decided to dress my girls in non-traditional holiday clothing. By this, I mean there was no bright red dresses and their outfits for all our holiday parties were able to be worn many times over during the year instead of just once like the dresses I normally would have gotten them.
This year I’m excited about Tea’s Modern Mexico Highland Holiday collection. With not a single screen-printed Santa or red velvet bow in sight the adorable offerings from Tea’s current destination collection get two thumbs up in my book (and a possible starring role in family Christmas cards too!).
If you’re not familiar with Tea you have been missing out. Tea is one of my absolute favorite children’s clothing companies. Each season their new lines are inspired by a different destination, from West Africa to Japan, Catalonia to Modern Mexico, the folks at Tea create easy-going, culturally-connected styles inspired by their newest destination. Another great thing about Tea clothing that I absolutely L.O.V.E. is that their clothing is made from natural fabrics, which equates to super easy care instructions. Read: machine washable!
These fabrics are also high quality and wear extremely well. Example: we have some Tea leggings and a dress that Michaela wore very regularly for the past year (it became a favorite of hers) and after innumerable washes and wears I can honestly say there has been no piling, fading, or shrinking of either garment. Basically Tea makes clothing that kids can wear, without wearing out!
