We have always been a musical family. As the daughter of a pianist (my mom) and a Christian Music Buyer — the guy who chose what artists and CDs were sold in Family Christian Stores nationwide (my dad), it was an inevitability. I love music, my kids love music, and my husband mostly deals with how much we love music while wishing we shared his admiration for talk radio. From a young age, my siblings and I were introduced both to the magic of making music and of listening to it. Each of us 4 kids played an instrument…and pretty well, if I do say so myself (and I do). And pretty much the minute my daughter was born, we started the tradition of parents far and wide of singing her to sleep and of playing a classical CD as she laid in her crib at night. So the Beatrix Girls, a band of 12″ dolls rocking out to the beat of their own drum was a pretty good fit for my 6-year old musician-to-be.
Each Beatrix Girl has her own personality, style and of course, her own instrument. We chose Ainsley, the band’s drummer, partly because of her fabulous curls and partly because of her sweet drum set, complete with teeny tiny drumsticks. The other band members are Lark, on bass guitar; Chantal, on keyboard; and Brayden, the group’s leader, on lead guitar. The dolls themselves are just SUPER cool, with posable arms and legs and an unmistakable gleam in their eye. Each comes with an instrument and a doll stand so they can stand up on their own. Plus each doll comes with a VIP pass so your little rock star can download exclusive content on the Beatrix Girls’ sweet website!
These girls are fun, funky and ready to take the world by storm. With their message of strength and individuality coupled with their focus on teamwork, they are a positive role model for young girls everywhere. Their first album, appropriately entitled “Meet the Beatrix” is even available for download on iTunes. Check out these fabulous dolls and fall in love for yourself!
