Food. We all need it. Ha! I get really hung up on it though. These days, it seems you can’t to ANYthing right in the food department. YOu get fresh food, then you worry about the pesticides, etc. on them. You get pre-packaged food, and different worries flood your head.
Can’t us Mommas just get a break?!?!?
I have started to find a peace with all this. It’s honestly just been a choice in my life and crazy schedule. Sure, I can continue to get frustrated and stressed out, but I’m doing my best to ignore what everyone else says and stick with my gut and what I believe is best for my family.
And speaking of family, I was recently introduced to something that I LOVED from the initial pitch! It’s “The Keepsake Kitchen Diary” and I’m in love. I’m in love because as I was reading what it was about my mind flooded with memories that I would soon fill this book with! Recipes created by my grandmother, that I now make with my daughters. Meals I prepped over and over and over with my mom that I’m now doing with my girls. I have been WANTING to get these all organized in to an OCD way that makes me smile, but time and organization weren’t lining up. Until now…
What I think makes “The Keepsake Kitchen Diary so amazing is what and how things are organized. There is an obvious area for the recipe, but what I like almost as much (if not more) is the section where you can write in your OWN memory while making this or when you made it in the past. You know as well as I do that memories fade with time. I have forgotten some pretty great memories from my children. Ack!
Honestly, I can’t say ENOUGH amazing things about this. My wish for YOU is that you dive in to see how this could fit great in to your life. Also, this would be an AMAZING wedding or wedding shower gift. And heck, a fabulous baby shower gift too! I mean, memories only gets better and more when we have kids. At $45.99 retail, this is completely worth it with what you gain in return 🙂

February 29, 2016 at 8:31 pmI like the idea of associating family memories with food; it just makes sense! I also think it would be handy to make notes about additions or changes to recipes I made or would want to try the next time I make a specific dish. Right now I make notes like that on a secret Pinterest board. This would be better!
