Two weeks ago today I shared with you that we were heading to Michigan’s Adventure in Muskegon, MI. I hoped that you followed along with us on social as I was sharing throughout the day, some of the fun things we did. If you weren’t able to do that, no worries because I’m going to summarize our trip for you today.
For starters, if you haven’t been to Michigan’s Adventure, it’s a fun place to add to your summer bucket list. There are two great parks included in the entrance fee.
We split the day in half, basically. We started off on the rides. We had lunch and then wandered into the water park portion of the park. Following that, we did a couple rides again and some games…and we were off. A full day of fun!
My husband and I split up, he took the older two girls and I took the younger two girls. We figured, there was no sense in either of us waiting around since there aren’t many rides that our entire family can go on. It was a actually quite fun! We got more quality time this way!
My husband got to experience the big rides with my older girls…and they loved it all! I don’t have any pictures of them doing that, because rides. Ha!
Home to Thunderhawk and Shivering Timbers, Michigan’s Adventure offers a variety of thrill rides, family rides, and kiddie rides. Thunderhawk is Michigan’s only suspended looping roller coaster, and Shivering Timbers has been consistently ranked as one of the finest wooden roller coasters in the world since it was introduced.
I took the younger ones to the fun petting farm portion, Funland Farm, early in our day. To help celebrate the park’s 60th anniversary, a petting farm featuring llamas, alpacas, a mini horse and a mini donkey were all there.
There are quite a few rides that little ones can go on. My 2-year old was able to conquer a few, Frog Hopper being a favorite of all. That and the ferris wheel. Totally fun for our family!
WildWater Adventure was not huge, but DEFINITELY not small. It was just right in my opinion. A large variety of things to do. Heck, I was able to sit a relax a bit and watch the littles run around too. Winning!
When we were done with the water park, we were able to change in the massive facilities they have on their property. If you are wondering about that, you are set. We brought our own towels and you have the ability to rent lockers as well!
As we were heading out, deciding what we were going to wrap our day up with, we spotted the Ripcord ride. So….we went and conquered. And yes, that is my 7-year old. Eek!!! All very safe, at least it sure appeared to be!
Will we go back? Most definitely! Have we told our friends about it when they are looking for something to do as a last minute adventure for their family? Absolutely! It’s just far enough away to make it exciting!
Have you gone to Michigan’s Adventure? From the post I shared today, do you think you want to check it out? Talk to me!
