Organic. Cute. Modern. A mixture that is awesome!
the Spunky Stork offers some pretty original and cute and simple choices in organic clothes for babies and kids. I just love the new shirt we received for our little Preslee. Soooo soft, adorable and love the color!
How appropriate is this, given today is Halloween:
Here are a few other choices from the Spunky Stork:
Here are a few things worth mentioning on the onesie, like the one I received:
- The onesies, like the LOVE one, was handprinted on organic material
- The white ink will start to thin and smooth and become a part of the shirt after a few washes
Now here is a little about the company itself. I just LOVE the back stories on companies. When I can relate, I am more apt to buy from them. Hope you are too!
“With no children of her own, Aliya Jiwa started a baby clothing company called the Spunky Stork out of the kitchen of her Manhattan apartment. Yes, the kitchen. Why? In short, she was going to an obnoxious amount of baby showers and grew frustrated from all the pastel-hued, gender-specific baby clothes that were her only options as gifts for all her friends… all of whom are emphatically anti-pastel anything, and most of whom chose to not find out the baby’s gender until the delivery day. Two years later, she still has no children, but she quit her job as a hospitality executive and now operates her online organic clothing business in a proper studio. So, what makes a childless, spicy-food eating, cowboy boot-wearing, British Indian an expert on kid’s clothing? Not much. But visit her site to see her ridiculously adorable designs.”
