Whether you’re a fellow homeschooling momma like me, or if you just need to supplement your family’s weekly devotionals I have a great DVD series to share with you. This week my family was introduced to Theo and the newest Theo DVD release God’s Desire.
Now, you may have seen Theo before, God’s Desire is the fifth Theo DVD release in this series that can be found nationwide in Christian bookstores as well as online. This latest release follows Theo, a kindly English pastor, as well as Luther and Belfry, his two little mouse friends.
There’s three short episodes on God’s Desire that each range from 10-11 minutes in approximate length. Lesson 14 – Fruit of the Spirit, Lesson 15 – Salvation, and Lesson 16 – Love Thy Neighbor. You can learn a more in depth synopsis for each episode here at the DVD webpage HERE. The DVD also contains some bonus features, including an bonus episode titled “Good News” and a lyric video “Love Never Fails.” Here’s a short clip from Lesson 15 – Salvation ::
While the DVD info is the initial engagement for the kids what I really liked about the DVD was the included Parent’s Guide. This handy guide contained a breakdown for each episode, scripture references, discussion questions, a family activity, final thought, and a closing prayer. Beyond that each episode breakdown in the Parent’s Guide also contained six days of nightly devotional guides.
If you use the Theo DVD series as a family devotional you’ll be all set for a whole week worth of about 20 minute or less devotionals. Perfectly timed for grade school aged kiddos. The Theo website also has a selection of other Theo products to accompany the DVD series as well as FREE coloring pages, puzzles & games for download!
