With that in mind though, do you want to know what I hate the most about transitioning MY closet? It’s the fact that there are so many things I don’t want to take out because I love them so. Just this month I was introduced to a new online boutique and was sent a few summer-ish items from her shop. Once seeing them, I knew they would also be a staple in my fall wardrobe. We just got back from San Diego, and it was HOT out there. I received the package the day before I was leaving, so I quickly tried it all on to see if the items would work to bring with me. I shouldn’t have been surprised, but you know online shopping and all. I wasn’t sure on the fit. I’m happy to say it was all spot on. I’m about a size 8 and got all mediums. Wanted to share that so you knew predictable fitting before ordering.
Farrah lace top (similar) // sandals from Naturalizer // clutch from Vera Bradley (similar) // white skinnies from GAP
On to the items. The shirt was a last minute addition as the original item we were talking about sold out. Can I say how happy I am that this was added? I am in serious LURV with the Farrah Lace top! I love the length of the sleeves, the airy-ness in the lightweight material and the LACE.
Yes, the lace had me at first glance. Now, I’m sad to report that this particular top has since sold out in the past two weeks (you guys, if you see something you want, don’t hesitate EVAH! Buy it.)…but there is one quite similar. And I must say, I am digging’ it just as much. Make sure you click over and look at the Leah Lace top from Candice Lou. While you are there, check out the Rosalita top as well…I’m loving it too! It’s in the New Arrivals section.
Let’s talk the white pants for a second. I was always under the understanding that NO WHITE after Labor Day. So, in turn, that’s what I’ve done. Well….APPARENTLY all that is out the window. Bring on the white, so I actually just bought the pants I featured with this gorgeous top. I picked them up at GAP, of all places.
The second item I wanted to share with you is something that shouldn’t surprise you that I like. It’s a layering piece, and you all know how I feel about cardigans! This isn’t a cardigan, it’s better than that for summer and fall and spring. All the seasons really, ha! The Poolside Kimono from Candice Lou is divine. The colors, the fit and again, the lightweight nature of the top make this something that I think all ladies need for their summer closet.
I wore it with a blue dress I bought at my favorite local boutique. I think the patterns play off each other so well! I wore this outfit in San Diego for our last night out.
You could easily throw this on with shorts and a basic t-shirt or tank, over a romper or for the fall, skinnies and a top. You will definitely be seeing this a lot on our social channels when we are sharing our daily outfits. So versatile!!
What do you think? Would you wear what I shared here? How would YOU make it your own fashion staple? What ELSE from Candice Lou has you wanting more????
