I love feathering our nest. We’ve been home so much that I’ve been making our space as cozy, spacious, functional, and livable as possible. Some of those seem to contradict, but I enjoy the process. Sometimes I feel minimal and sometimes I’m buying magnets for the garage door.

I have been admiring/envying some of the fancy garage doors that have been installed around my neighborhood. They have beautiful hardware handles and have a classy carriage style look. We lived in our home for 10 years with an un-operational garage door. We fixed it last fall and we laugh at ourselves for not making it a bigger priority. It’s been a dream having it working. All that to say, there’s not a chance we are getting a fancy new door, we are simply glad to have one that opens.

I’m all about the inexpensive ways to add some character to our home. Please don’t forget, I’m the lady with a sticker backsplash in my kitchen. My 3D tic tac tiles have been one of my favorite finds. I have no shame in my faux game. Give me all the magnets and stickers if they give the pop or pizazz without a big price tag.
After 24 days of spare the air days due to the fires in California, we had a cleaner and clearer day. Such a relief from the smoke that has been stuck. Did you see the weird orange day that we had last week? I snapped this photo – #nofilter even though it looks like a sepia filter. It’s been an inconvenience where we live, but I’m very sorry for those who have lost their homes or worse, their lives due to the fires. Please keep California and Oregon in your prayers.
We have been using our Venta Airwasher around the clock. We’ve had some really scary air quality days. One day they said it was the equivalent of smoking 24 cigarettes.
