The Florida Aquarium is two levels full of different exhibits. I don’t have time to tell you about everything, but here’s a rundown of some of our highlights.
The touch exhibits. It was so cool to touch the stingrays and sharks in the touch tank. We also loved feeling the anemone in the No Bones Zone. While we loved seeing all of the animals but it was extra special getting to touch them!
The coral reef tunnel and giant shark tank. We could have stayed to watch the sharks (and all of the other amazing animals) all day. In fact, we were so distracted by the giant tank that we almost missed one of our other favorite exhibits–the seahorses! Who knew there were so many varieties of seahorses? And I think I loved the jellyfish best.
After seeing all of the great animals, we headed outside to play on the playground and check out the 4D theatre. My big kids loved the 4D theatre (and wanted to stay to watch both of the movies) and my youngest loved playing on the playground. The splash pad was closed the day we went (and it was a bit chilly for that) but I could see younger kids spending most of the day just playing outside!
