If you’re a VeggieTales fan you have got to see their new release If I Sang a Silly Song. My family loves when the Veggies get silly, and If I Sang a Silly Song is by far our favorite Silly Song compilation.
Larry the Cucumber hosts “The Silly Song Telethon” and counts down the top favorite silly songs of all-time… voted for by the fans!! This title features the top 10 songs of the first decade of VeggieTales with such classics like “Where is My Hairbrush” and “The Cheeseburger Song,” plus the top 10 songs from the second decade including “Pants,” “The Stapler Song,” and “Monkey.” The fun continues with a surprise introduction of a never-before-seen, new Silly Song chosen by Larry the Cucumber with a theme selected from thousands of fan submissions!
Now, my girls are big B.I.T.S. fans (that’s Boys In The Sink for those of you who aren’t as Veggie-fluent) and when the new Silly Song came on you would have thought they were 12-year-old girls at their favorite teen-heartthrob’s concert. If you want to see what can send my 2 & 4-year-olds into near hysterics see the video below. By the way, the lyrics have already been memorized.
When watching this great collection of VeggieTales Silly Songs I kept remarking, “Oh, that’s a good one.” Which quickly caught on with Michaela as “Oh, I like that one too!” These comments would immediately be followed by her singing along (okay, okay, I was singing along too). The DVD also has “sing-along” karaoke versions of each song so that kids can follow along with their favorite characters, or be the star of the song with video and background tracks! my SIMPLE rating :: 5 out of 5
