veggietales :: little drummer boy

A new release is coming from VeggieTales!  It will be available for purchase on October 4th, 2011. The Little Drummer Boy is the name. It’s a “veggie re-telling” of the classic Christmas story of The Little Drummer Boy.

“…all-new Veggie-version of the classic 1968 stop-motion animated holiday film, The Little Drummer Boy, a follow up to its highly successful Saint Nicholas Christmas story from 2009.  In this heartwarming tale that teaches kids about the joy found in giving your best gift to others, using your talents and forgiveness–based on Ephesians 4:32, Junior Asparagus stars as the Little Drummer Boy, a lonely child who finds the true meaning of Christmas when he stumbles upon the birth of the baby Jesus.   A story of generosity, hope and love, this timeless tale will warm the hearts of children everywhere!

Like other VeggieTales shows, there is lots of music!  My girls just love this part 🙂  There are new “Silly Songs”.  Also, “The Little Drummer Boy” is performed and recorded by BeBe and CeCe Winans just for this show!

In relation to this DVD, there is a NEW Holiday CD coming out too!  VeggieTales: O Holy Night – A Journey of A Little Drummer Boy.  Featured on this CD are BeBe and CeCe Winans again as well as Amy Grant, Matthew West, Wynonna Judd and Steven Curtis Chapman.  What a lineup!  I love listening to all these artists, and now my girls can listen too 🙂

Additionally, Big Idea has teamed up with Christian Charity World Vision to provide gift-giving opportunities through World Vision’s Gift Catalog, offering families ways to teach their children about the joy of giving and helping others in need. More information about the partnership or to view the Gift Catalog can be found at www.veggieatales.com/worldvision.

Be sure to follow VeggieTales on Facebook and Twitter and sign up for the newsletter (can be found on the right side of the page) too to be the first to learn about special promotions and new products!
