Suffering from a lifetime pigment challenge {read :: pale and can’t tan to save my life} has prepared me to make sure my fair skinned kiddos are properly protected from the sun. My line of defenses include UPF protected rash guard shirts, sunscreen, sunglasses, and sunhats!
For my little red-headed baby I was excited to find the adorable Crocodile Children’s Hat from Wallaroo Hat Company!
To add some fun to this extremely functional UPF 50+ sunhat, there is a missing “chomp” from the brim. This little detail makes makes the Crocodile Children’s Hat a teensy bit sassy and absolutely perfect my aptly nicknamed Sassafras. (Doesn’t she look like she’s about to take a chomp out of me & my camera?)
The Crocodile Children’s Hat from Wallaroo Hat Company is an equal opportunity hat. For girls there is the pink version, complete with a bow-topped, shimmery crocodile. For boys the green option has a more traditional version of the scaly reptile.
No matter your color choice, the Crocodile hat is made of a sturdy cotton twill fabric with a 3 1/4″ brim and a 52cm size to fit ages 2-5 years.
The cotton drawstring helps to keep the hat on Dani’s head, but without her LOVE for that crocodile I know it wouldn’t stand a chance! Thankfully, Wallaroo Hat Company has a great selection of UPF 50+ Children’s hats so you can find the perfect sunhat to fit your child’s sense of style.
If you’re wondering what UPF is (as opposed to the more commonly known SPF) here’s some info… The Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) shows how well a fabric protects your skin from solar UV. But remember, a Wallaroo hat only protects the skin it covers. Safeguard the rest of your body by wearing sunglasses and sunscreen.
