As a mom I’m frequently torn between my desire for easy and my desire for natural when choosing foods for my kids. Thankfully, Welch’s Natural Spreads are both. Easy (because I didn’t have to make them) and all natural!
For Welch’s Natural Spreads, this means no artificial colors or flavors and no preservatives! They also use 100% North American grown fruits and contain no high fructose corn syrup.
For little over a week I had two 27 oz. plastic jars of Welch’s Natural Spreads on my counter. You would have thought I was torturing my family with the way my hubby kept looking at the Concord Grape and the girls frequently tried to grab the Strawberry spreads.
I had big plans to make some super tasty recipes using each of the spreads. Cookies or muffins for the Strawberry spread and slow cooker meatballs for the Concord Grape (I have got to figure out which of my aunts has a recipe for that). Finally though, I caved and opened the jars for them to just have with bread. I still want the cookies and meatballs, and more Welch’s Naturals are already on the grocery list to make that happen.
I also have to share that the Concord Grape was such a hit with my youngest that all she did was lick the bread clean. Usually, she is a carb-fiend so this is saying something!
With all our planned travels for this summer I’m ready for impromptu picnics and trips to the cottage with our Welch’s Natural Spreads. I’ll be using the squeeze bottles to make our almond butter and jelly sandwiches a little lot less messy.
