kohls logoIt’s no surprise.  I have recently been sharing with you all that I {heart} Kohl’s.  If you have been following us on the SIMPLE Instagram account or my personal Instagram account, you will see all about it. Not only do I love Kohl’s, but the options that they have are absolutely perfect for every occasion I have recently had to shop for.  I shared some 4th of July style with you and now I am sharing with you some pointers on what to wear to BlogHer 2013 in Chicago!  If you aren’t going to the conference, that’s totally fine.  This post will still relate to you on other levels!  Just some good, fun pointers.  So, let’s get on with it!

The first thing you will need is good, practical, cute and comfortable shoes.  Yes, justify purchasing new shoes…because you can’t EVER have too many shoes.  AmIRight people?!? 🙂  But get on it girl!  Hop over to Kohl’s and check out what they have.  You want cute, but comfy too.  Get them and start wearing them now, break those bad boys in so your feet won’t have you with all the walking we will be doing!  I am totally in love with wedges right now…and their Dana Buchman and Simply Vera Vera Wang are oh so stylish!

Next, accessories.  Holla!!  Every outfit is made better with the right accessories.  The thing that is so awesome about Kohl’s is their accessory selection crosses over any personalty and style you are in need of.  Whether it’s bo-ho chic, modern or simple…you are covered there.  Also, if you are on a budget and new clothes aren’t really an option, get on Kohl’s email alerts, wait for some sales…possibly combine it with a coupon and voila – new with out breaking the bank. You can’t beat the prices at Kohl’s for their accessories!

The last accessory I’ll mention in this post.  A small purse to place in your computer bag/briefcase.  Because I know you all will be partying it up at night!  Isn’t it a pain to have to move purses?  I say, shrink your purse down to fit only the essentials in it, pack the small purse in your computer bag and you are good to go!

Now, clothing.  Let’s talk.  I have options for this conference. I do not like to be in dresses all. day. long. at the conference.  I like shorts or cropped pants.  However, it’s Chicago.  It’s HOT.  Not probably as hot as New York last year, but nonetheless, it will be hot.  I found some great tops at Kohl’s that are more dressy and I’ll be pairing them with a dressier bottom.  Most likely a colored short, like the ELLE ones I mentioned in my 4th of July style post.  Or I also LOVE the black Jennifer Lopez ones pictured below with the drapey top.  Cute and dressy!

And dresses…yes, this preggo belly will definitely be donning dresses for the parties at night.  Sleek and business casual during the day and dresses at night.  That’s how I roll.  Check out all these options!!

Last.  I have to say….love what you wear.  You will feel great!  Honestly, if no one else loves it, but you feel like 1 million dollars…WIN!  Work it girl!

Stay tuned!  I will have another post coming AFTER BlogHer to share with you of my choices!  As you can see, so many things to choose from 🙂
