what’s in a name :: lima bean kids

Picking out a name for your child can go a couple different ways I suppose. For us, it was pretty easy with our first. We agreed on a name quickly after finding out we were having a boy, then changed it about a month later, and that name was the name we gave our son when he was born! We have entered the 3rd trimester with this pregnancy and have chosen a name for our daughter without too much disagreement again. I have also heard, though, that choosing a name can be pretty difficult. Sometimes one parent may love a name, but the other may have different feelings about it.
However the process goes, choosing a name is a special thing. It is something that child will keep with them for the rest of their life. They will hear it over and over again from mommy and daddy, learn to say it themselves, eventually write it, see it on their desk on their first day of school, have it typed on their diploma, and someday see it on their desk at work or on their uniform.
