The mom bag. What EXACTLY does that mean? Before kids I though it meant a horrendous, barf filled, booger infested bag that moms tote with them everywhere. It’s contents…who knows, and Lord knows I wasn’t willing to find out. Fast forward to after having kids. Oh how the tables have turned and now I’m toting around my very own. While some “mom bags” could very well be quite perfectly described as written above, I’m happy to say that my bag and contents are far from that. And the label, mom bag, doesn’t describe mine. I’ll call in the go bag – as in, always on the go mom toting four kids to and fro 🙂
My bag contains essentials that travel with me every. where. i. go. This bag goes easily in my diaper bag and I can grab it quickly to run around when I’m not toting the babe too. I KNOW you have the same…come on, spill it! What are the essentials that travel with you everywhere with you? I’ll share my top 10 things found in my bag, but you have to tell me yours too! Leave me a comment below and maybe I will realize I’m forgetting something that is an absolute must, that I didn’t know what an absolute must until now!!
All right, let the fun begin…
ONE – sugar free gum and mints…both. because some days you leave the house without brushing your teeth. gross? yes. i don’t know why i don’t just pack a toothbrush and mini tube of toothpaste…
TWO – lip balm. refer to number 1, those go hand in hand in my opinion. freshen it up baby!
THREE – sophie the giraffe. something for the little one to gnaw on. let’s face it, they always have to have something in their mouth, and i’d prefer it’s something that is made for them instead of, you know…my keys.
FOUR – bags to dispose of dirty diapers on the go. you never want to be that mom at play group that puts the poopy diaper in a friend’s trash can for all to smell. if you don’t have these in your go bag, go get some pronto!
FIVE – pacifier. because sometimes, that is the only thing that will do the trick.
SIX – snacks. period.
SEVEN – hand wipes and hand sanitizer. nasty is everywhere, these help eradicate it as much as possible when on the go.
EIGHT – kleenex. refer to 7, although i use kleenex for nastyness on the face.
NINE – a hat for the baby. you just never know when you will be out and about and need this gem.
TEN – baby k’tan carrier. sometimes i am out and the baby won’t sleep. i love this carrier because it can fold a lot smaller than other carriers and is easy to quickly put on too. you won’t miss a beat!
SO…what am I missing? I’d love to hear what’s in yours!!

September 6, 2014 at 3:08 pmI don’t know how ppl do it that carry a small purse and that’s it. I need a camel for my ‘necessities’!! The most important is sunscreen, then hat, no matter where. If I’m wearing dress shoes, my bag has comfy shoes. Makeup including cream and blush and lipstick and eyeliner for sure, a notepad with many “to do” lists, envelopes of coupons and store deals. Tons of tissues, napkins, sometimes plasticware, all the regular stuff like cell, wallet, etc. I could go on and on, no wonder it all weighs a ton!
