what’s to love about the american girl bitty baby + bringing home bitty collection

I don’t know about you, but my daughters are CRAZY for baby dolls. Well, my oldest is kinda getting out of that stage, but every now and then she gets roped back in via her younger sisters, specifically the 1 and 4 year olds. So, I’m excited to share what we have added to our baby collection this year from American Girl. You can’t ever have too many baby dolls and clothes/toys, can you? We sure don’t think so!

There are two things I’ll be highlighting in today’s post. Bitty Baby dolls and a set that makes it that much better. 🙂The Bitty Baby dolls are $60 and are what they say, babies. You don’t have to worry about the hair getting tangled and all the other stuff. They are a simpler take on an American Girl doll. You can pick the doll that matches your own child…hair color, skin complexion, eye color, etc. In addition, you can purchase sleepers, toys, clothing, furniture, strollers and more. All made exclusively for the Bitty Baby. Perfect sizing, perfect addition!

One of the things that American Girl offers in the Bitty Baby line that I think is pretty great is the Bringing Home Baby set WITH the doll. The doll AND collection purchased in a set is $100. In this you receive a doll carrier, an outfit, hangers, booties, a blanket and a toy. The doll comes dressed in a simple onesie with a diaper. It’s like your child just received their first baby from the hospital! I have friends who have given this Bitty Baby set to older siblings who are welcoming a new baby to their family. Adorable.

American Girl offers so much. You can get the dolls that are in all of the existing categories, the Girl of the Year or you can get one that is customizable for your child…at any age! The hours that my girls play with these dolls are many. I have VERY fond memories from what I was young too, playing with Samantha, my very 1st American Girl doll.
