why I think you should spend the money at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique :: in pictures! {#DisneyKids #TravelTuesday}

You know the saying, a picture is worth a thousand words? Well, I’m going to make that the most accurate statement of the day given today’s post. If you have been reading SIMPLE for some time now, you know that I was blessed with a few opportunities in the spring to do some traveling with my family. One very special trip was to Walt Disney World in Florida with my preschool aged daughter, Adalynn.

One of the memorable moments we were able to experience together was her first trip to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. If you have researched Disney at all, chances are, you have seen this. I always wondered if it was worth the money. And, hands down, my answer is YES! The offerings at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique range in price. You can easily go in there and not spend more than $75. Yet, if you are going to spend that much anyways… save a little longer and do the whole shebang. It will be completely worth it. Memories to last a lifetime! Let’s take a look at a bit of the process.

I did not intend to purchase the dress. However, once I was there, I just decided to go ALL IN and do it up! {Part of this experience was covered by Walt Disney World, and part I paid for.} This was right before FROZEN came out (or shortly after, I can’t recall exactly), so it was a miracle there was an Anna dress available. We scooped that right up. Throughout the rest of our day at the park, Adalynn was getting the royal treatment, not only from park employees, but from patrons that were visiting Disney just like us. She TRULY felt like a princess! I am forever grateful for the opportunity to do that with her! Worth every cent spent!

It’s for boys too! While they will not experience ALL of the things that the little ladies will at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, like fingernails, dresses and things like that (depending on the package that is paid for), they will get other fun things. See…

Last thing, as soon as you know when you are taking your trip to Walt Disney World, I would suggest calling to schedule an appointment. You aren’t able to schedule a year in advance or anything like that, but I believe you can around 3 months prior to your trip. Again, check that out as things can always change.

    I’ve never been to Disney but I’ve heard great things about this particular boutique. Your daughter looks adorable dressed as a princess, hair and all. I think it’d be a wonderful experience for any child.

    Yes, we scheduled our daughter as soon as she was old enough back in 2009 when we went last. This was deep in Hannah Montana times so they had an amazing rocker style and we got to see an older girl transform and then be lead around the entire store (we were at the downtown Disney location) being introduced as Hannah. It was WORTH every penny! I even paid for a few of the professional pictures they took of her reveal reaction. It was so much fun!! She didn’t opt for the princess bun hairstyle thankfully because every little girl I know that did that style had it taken down before days end. My daughter chose an easier look and it with stood Florida humidity in May for a good 3 days! I would love to do it again even though she is 10 now!

    Our family had our first family vacation, to Disney World, in September. My daughter was a little too young (read did not have enough hair) for us to book her an appointment at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique; however, we did reserve an appointment for our 3 year old son. He wasn’t a huge fan of the confetti in his hair but he LOVED becoming a knight! For our daughter we booked her first hair cut at the Harmony Barber Shop, which was also an amazing experience!

      YES! The Barber Shop! I had just learned about that from my friend Charlene over at http://www.charlenechronicles.com/kids/first-haircut-disney-world/ . And the confetti. The little guy that was pictured felt the same way about it lol! He walked out of the place and shook his head. Kids are so funny!! He loved the experience though 🙂 So happy to hear you all liked it too!!
