I had the opportunity to review an e-book that just hit Amazon this week. It’s called Winslow Tuttle by Nathan Jensen. It’s a heart warming book about a turtle that sets out with his grandfather on a quest to recover his favorite red ball. However, the plot is really much deeper then that. The book is intended to help younger readers appreciate and have an introduction to stories and characters such as the Bilbo Baggins, Luke Skywalker, and Harry Potter. The author will be sharing more on the background of his book via Facebook in the weeks to come. It’s very interesting how he came about writing this story.
Your kids will love this book and the graphics are extra special because the author drew them himself. Very talented! With that said, if you click the graphic to the right you can print it off as a coloring sheet. Kids love to color and will enjoy a coloring sheet of a story they have read even more. Download this e-book today and enjoy Winslow’s adventures with your own children.

February 22, 2013 at 11:24 pmMy children love turtles and I love the way the story is about a quest with a grandfather as my children adore their grandpa and going on adventures on him like going to the duck pond or just taking walks. This is such a sweet story.

February 9, 2013 at 10:53 amI like that the story is about a turtle and my daughters are big fans of Franklin so they will choose this book to read. Also, the description states that it is an introduction to characters like Luke Skywalker and my daughters think that Star Wars (we have only seen Episode 3 and the Revenge of Sith episode) is about a princess and a bunch of mean people. Also they think that the Sith and Yoda are the same. I would love to steer them to the correction direction about the characters.
