winterize your nails whether you go out or stay in :: review

TrendingWInterColors_2Winter is here!  Have I mentioned winter in many of my posts yet?  I actually love winter and the chance it brings to stay inside and keep warm or the chance it brings to get outside in the snow and have some fun.  Winter brings challenges unlike any other season like driving on icy roads, keeping the house warm, and dealing with dry skin, but also brings some of the best things too, like the beautiful white on the trees and grass, sledding or skiing down the hills, and keeping warm by the fire with those you love.
During the winter, painting my nails isn’t always my number one priority.  I often get frustrated with how they get dry and chip and peel.  My main goal is usually to keep them from drying out and keeping them trimmed.  I often wait until summer to do much painting with them since in the winter this is often how I can be found- curled up with my little guy, curled up with a good book or curled up with a cup of coffee.

I have been inspired, though, by Julep’s line of winter colors to change things up and add a touch of color to my nails this winter, brightening my winter days as I am curled up with my favorite things. I usually am drawn to the bright colors for summer, but these winter colors have really grown on me. I also have been inspired to follow a little routine to get them healthy and keep them healthy in the dry winter months. The main things I’ve found to be helpful is to keep them short and keep them from drying out. Take a look at some of these tips below to keep your nails healthy this winter and check out Julep‘s inspiring winter colors for nails.

I am loving the winter shades. I am the same way and typically don’t paint in the winter but I might have to try
