zhu zhu pets :: quest for zhu

There was a new DVD released today and for all you Zhu Zhu Pet lovers out there, you HAVE to see it!  It is called the Quest for Zhu!

The “Quest for Zhu” brings the magical Zhu-niverse to life in 3-D stereoscopic animation. Starring the four original ZhuZhu Pets® characters (Pipsqueak, Mr. Squiggles, NumNums and Chunk), the “Quest for Zhu” is an adventurous, heartwarming and heroic tale that Zhu-natics of all ages are sure to love.

We were able to see a sneak peak of the DVD and both my girls just loved it.  We watched it one night together.  Of course, the girls had to have their zhu zhu pets along with them.

We then had some friends over to play and watch the movie the following weekend.  All kids there (age ranging from 3-8) like it! I think they especially liked the treats, games and figurines I handed out thanks to MomSelect and Zhu Zhu Pets. They also sent some fun recipes that I could make to go along with the movie premiere, and I did so.  I made copies of these recipes to give the moms that attended and I received a call from one of my friends telling me how much they enjoyed making it together. It was Kettle Corn, YUM!  It’s actually super easy, so here you go:

Ingredients:

• 1/4 cup vegetable oil
• 1/4 cup white sugar
• 1/2 cup unpopped popcorn kernels.

Directions:

• heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.  Once hot, stir in the sugar and popcorn. Cover adn shake the pot constantly. This keeps the sugar from burning. Once the popping has slowed to once every 2 to 3 seconds, remove the pot from the heat and continue to shake for a few minutes until the popping has stopped. Pour into a large bowl and allow to cool. If needed, stir slightly to break up large clumps.

Voila!
