There is nothing better then having an SUV for the winter. While I didn’t have this for the week in the winter, I do think the 2017 Mazda CX-3 would be great in the winter. It is a smaller sized SUV that we were able to fit my 3 kids in the back seat if we needed to.
The CX-3 is a striking yet well-balanced design of a vehicle. From rich body contours to exceptionally short overhangs and blacked-out D-pillars, everything about the CX-3’s overall form makes it appear agile yet firmly planted to the ground. It’s the essence of our KODO: “Soul of Motion” design expression: simple lines that express energy and movement, even at a standstill. The interior expresses the unique character of the CX-3. Colors and fabrics are combine in a way to express a sense of sportyness.

- Gas mileage – It is pretty impressive to get 34 MPG HWY in a SUV like this.
- Active driving display – The available active driving display helps you take your mind off distractions by projecting critical driving information directly in front of you. Strategically positioned in your field of view and above the gauge cluster, this innovative display allows you to process information faster by keeping your eyes focused toward one place—the road ahead.
- Rear cross traffic alert – While backing up, rear cross traffic alert, helps detect approaching vehicles and promptly alerts the driver with an audible warning.
- Adaptive front lighting system – This system is designed to help you see around corners at night. As you turn a corner, the light pivot 15 degrees in the direction you are turning. Very helpful! Loved this as we have very curvy roads to our house.
We really loved all the featured of this vehicle. It was a fun ride and would work perfectly for a small size family. With great gas mileage and great features for the winter, this one should definitely be on your list to test drive.
