I’m a label reader. When it comes to feeding my family, I try to avoid added sugars, food dyes, preservatives and ingredients I can’t pronounce. So it makes sense that I should do that for my dog treats, too!
I have two 14-year-old dogs,
Harley and Sebastian. We’ve been so fortunate to have a lot of great years with these sweet pups and I want to make sure I’m doing everything I can to make sure they are as healthy as they can be . When I was reading through the ingredients on the Zuke’s labels, I was impressed. Impressed because these treats are truly real food! Ingredients range from free-range grass fed beef to apples and sweet potato. Other treats are nitrate-free, wheat, corn and soy-free and made in the USA.
My dog Harley has had stiff joints for a few years now. She has a hard time getting up from lying down and sometimes struggles getting up and down stairs. Her veterinarian recommended we give her glucosamine and chondroitin capsules. Now I’m not sure exactly what these capsules taste like on their own, but I can only imagine it’s pretty rough.
